True Grit and determination leads gym to its next phase of expansion

True Grit Training from Stoke-on-Trent has today announced its second expansion in three years; increasing the size of its facilities by another 140% and offering a 6500sqft gym and an 8000sqft space for classes.

The business will experience a £70K investment as it expands into the space adjacent to its current footprint allowing for an extra 500 clients each month.

Grant Hallam, Director at True Grit Training commented: “We’re delighted to be in a position where we are expanding for the second time in three years; it really is testament to the personal and professional approach offered by our trainers.

“We now have 17 trainers and I’m really looking forward to using this expansion to improve our facilities help even more people within the area.”

The expansion will coincide with the launch of the company’s new mind and body app which guides its members through their transformation; allowing them to log all elements of their journey with quantifiable data to measure their body fat and maintain a positive mind-set.

Tom Lloyd, Director at True Grit Training stressed the importance of offering a full support network for clients. He commented: “Having studied body-dysmorphia at Staffordshire University I’ve always been aware of the crucial need to align both the physical and psychological needs when it comes to fitness.

“This app will coincide with our fitness programmes and eight-weekly nutrition seminars to not only let clients book their space in classes and log quantifiable data of their personal journey but also explore and improve their mental wellbeing.”

Since its launch in 2014, True Grit Training has seen over 3,000 clients walk through its doors. Its highly popular circuit training classes themselves welcome over 1500 clients each week and have been at full capacity since January of this year.

Arann Thornhill first visited True Grit Training in February 2016 and since then has been delighted with the transformation he has seen. The 5ft 8in dad-of-one has now achieved his target and weighs in at 12st 1lb and is the ‘fittest and strongest’ that he’s ever been.

He commented: "I trained for over 15 years but never got results like I have got from True Grit.  Good nutrition and a well-structured training programme is what I needed and now, in only twelve months I’ve lost over three and a half stone of body fat and I’m really happy with my overall appearance.

“I’m delighted to learn that True Grit Training will be expanding as I firmly believe in their recipe to aid transformations like mine; a friendly atmosphere combined with motivational trainers, the right nutritional guides and programmes to suit each and every individual. It's only going to get better now with more space, more equipment and more trainers."

The new expansion will also see the business offer new classes such as boxing and spinning and will host an open day on Sunday 2nd April, officially opening the expansion on Monday 3rd April.
