Sixty percent of British people currently suffer from or have suffered with a skin disease at some point during their lifetime. Some skin conditions are manageable; others are severe enough to kill.

BTL Aesthetics, the award-winning manufacturer and supplier of medical equipment for physical therapy, cardiology, and medical aesthetics industries has today announced their fundraising endeavours for the British Skin Foundation in a bid to find a cure.

Lee Boulderstone, Managing Director for BTL Aesthetics commented: “We strongly believe that BTL Aesthetics and others within our industry have a fundamental responsibility to do the right thing: to help raise money and to ultimately, one day find a cure.

“I am delighted to be taking part in this challenge and I would like to thank valued friends of the business in advance for their support”.

A team of four representatives from the UK division will be rallying support for the charity by taking part in the ‘Rockin’ to Rimini Wacky Rally’ and driving over 1500 miles from their head office in Stoke-on-Trent, through Lille, France and ended, after four days in Rimini, Italy.

Lisa Bickerstaffe, Communications Officer for the British Skin Foundation commented on the fundraising initiative: “"It's great when the industry comes together to raise money for skin disease research. We can't wait to see how the Wacky Rally pans out and wish the BTL Aesthetics team the best of luck along the way."

The two companies are now urging others to back the campaign and help BTL Aesthetics to reach their target of £10,000.
