Darzi Dresses, the Stoke-on-Trent-based online fashion brand has today announced that its upcoming fashion show will raise donations for Smalls For All, a registered charity which provides underwear for third-world countries.

The fashion show will debut the brand’s newest collection which is inspired by the latest trends on the catwalk targets and the fashion conscious woman with affordable and yet luxury, chic clothing.

Anticipating over one-hundred guests the event comes four months after the launch of the brand which has seen record sales and growth; enabling the business to export its line to Canada, USA, Australia and Europe.

Ricky Singh, Owner of Darzi Dresses commented: “We are delighted to be raising donations for Smalls For All; giving something back is integral to our business model.

“Fashion is a very fast-paced industry and we can find ourselves getting caught up in it all. What it’s important to remember however, as we’re looking for the next must-have, is the people who don’t have the basics in clothing – this event is about emphasises that.”

Smalls For All collects and distributes underwear to women and children in Africa. The charity helps those living in orphanages, slums, IDP camps and schools, as well as providing underwear to hospitals to help those suffering frommedical conditions like obstetric fistula; a result of prolonged obstructed labour.

Maria Macnamara MBE, Founder of Smalls For All commented on the fundraising initiative: “We are delighted that Darzi Dresses has chosen to support Smalls For All, raising donations and awareness of the charity.

Having worked in a number of orphanages across Africa, I recognised that there was often a shortage of underwear and with this came subsequent problems. I set up Smalls for All in 2010; a simple response to a real need.

“Underwear is a luxury that many people can’t afford. Giving pants and bras may seem like a small thing, but it can make a huge difference. For example, not having underwear can mean young girls miss days off school each month. We often work with the schools and orphanages we support with our underwear to pay for the education of children too, to give them the opportunity of a better future.”

Smalls For All desperately needs donations of brand new pants for women and children and new or gently worn bras.
